"People who won't learn don't deserve anything but contempt."

Papaya was once an underappreciated academic talking head. Papaya made an honest effort to try to teach GNN's viewers about the importance of understanding economics, determined to unravel the complexity of the modern economy so that the citizens of the world would be better informed when making economic and political choices. Instead, Papaya was gradually given less and less screen time until she was primarily writing copy for 20 second news briefs about the economy that were often ignored in favor of celebrity news. That seething resentment and anger was put to work when she "joined" Z!TV. Upgraded with limited combat ability, Papaya's brawn is now a better match for her brains. Instead of talking about the economy, Papaya now panders to the lowest common denominator for money, playing the sadistic host of a variety of degrading (and extremely popular) game shows and reality programs. Papaya's regular humiliation of people seeking easy fame and wealth is just the beginning of her payback for a world that chooses to remain ignorant. Papaya's role within the "Z" intelligence agency is to bail her co-workers out of trouble with her martial arts prowess and raw physical power. Cherry has since become one of Papaya's only close friends, though Papaya seems to find Cherry's friendliness toward her occasionally perplexing.
